Feile:

Our U15 team took part in this year’s Feile competition in Edenderry last Wednesday. The girls competed in Division 2 and reached the final, only to be narrowly beaten by Birr.

The girls had a flying start in their Feile campaign against Belmont. The girls won 2-02 to 1-02 after a tough battle. Shinrone were wating for them in the second round. While it was a lower scoring game, K/K came out on top with a scoreline of 0-05 to 0-02. The final team remaining in their group was Kinnitty. Despite a strong breeze and some rain, K/K fought valiantly against Kinnitty and ended up winning 3-10 to 1-00. The strong group performances put K/K into the Division 2 final against Birr.

K/K battled hard but a strong Birr team got the lead on them in the second half. The girls showed great skill and determination and kept going right to the final whistle but the game ended up 0-02 to 2-04.

Well done to all the girls who played so well in Edenderry!
