Donegal will not be able to field a team for this Sunday’s Dr McKenna Cup semi-final against Monaghan, according to manager Declan Bonner.
The Ulster champions scored a 1-10 to 0-8 win over Derry at Celtic Park last night to secure their passage through to the last four.
However, with more than a dozen players currently preparing for Sigerson Cup duty, Bonner says they will be unable to field against the Farney men this weekend.
"We won't have a team," he told Donegalsporthub.com.
"We have 13 players playing Sigerson. That's exactly where we are. I stated this very strongly on Sunday. Something needs to be done. We just don't have the numbers."
