In the second half scores were traded equally and entering the final 10 minutes Aughnamullen lead by 1 however credit to the home side they seized the initative and actually went 1 point up entering the closing stages but credit to our boys again they scored a dramatic equaliser to leave with a share of the spoils on a score line of 2-10 to 0-16. This was then increased with an excellent Thristan Keenan goal to lead by 5 but credit to Doohamlet they came back with a goal of their own and the next number of scores were traded equally to leave it 1-07 to 1-04 after 20 minutes however from that to half time Aughnamullen took over scoring 2-02 without reply to lead at half time by 3-09 to 1-04. In the second half Aughnamullen's domination continued with further goals by Keenan and Sheridan to extend the lead and further scores by Jason Duffy & Ben Mc Cabe but Doohamlet kept plugging away and scored a very good goal of their own to try to reduce the lead. However the home side scored a further goal from the penalty spot by wing half back Ryan Hamilton after he was initially fouled and shortly after this the final whistle emerged with Aughnamullen victorious on a score line of 6-17 to 2-10. Scor 50 Bliain ag fas: The fiftieth anniversary celebrations of scor in Monaghan took place in the Garage Theatre Monaghan on Friday night last and it proved to be a wonderful night of music, song, dance and laughter. While we had no representatives on stage on the night the records show a total of seven county titles for Aughnamullen, three in Scor na nOg and four in Scor Sinsir. Our first county title was in Scor na og Question Time in 1980 but unfortunately we can't find the make up of the team. Our second winners in Scor na Og was in 1982 with an instrumental group of Phil Mc Caul and Joseph Mohan and in 2000 our instrumental group of Dympna Connolly Adam Geoghegan, Clare Ward, Nadia Markey and Niall Markey collected the title. It was 2009 before we won our first senior Scor Title with an instrumental music group of Shay Sweeney, Nadia Markey, Ronan Markey and Shauna Sweeney. These four were joined by Marie McGinn in 2012 to win the instrumental group title for the second time and the following year the hat trick of instrumental titles was completed with a group consisting of Martin,Joe and Marie McGinn together with Nadia Markey and Shay Sweeney. Our last county title was in 2015 and again it was in instrumental music with a group consisting of Joe, Marie and Sarah McGinn, Keva Morgan and Nadia Markey
