Shane Walsh has been handed the honour of captaining the Galway senior footballers for 2020.
New manager Padraic Joyce has unveiled his starting 15 for this Sunday’s FBD opener against arch rivals Mayo in Castlebar and the Kilkerrin/Clonberne sharpshooter will wear the number 14 jersey.
He will be joined in the full-forward line by Paul Conroy who returns to the county jersey after the horrific double leg break injury he suffered in the 2018 championship.
