A towering figure at midfield or full-forward, Moran made his debut with the county seniors in 2005 and went on to play in four All-Ireland SFC finals, winning six Connacht SFC titles along the way.
He will continue to line-out with his club as they bid for a four-in-a-row of Mayo SFC titles this season.
Meanwhile, Moran's namesake and team-mate Andy will take his time on deciding his Mayo future.
