O’Byrne Cup Semi Final: Congratulations to the Longford senior footballers on their great win over All-Ireland champions Dublin in the O’Byrne Cup semi final on Saturday. Well done to Joseph Hagan who played the full game and to Padraic Davis and his management and backroom team, especially Dromard’s Danny O’Toole who is the kitman for the county senior and U20 teams as well as being a dedicated servant to his club. Best of luck to all involved in the O’Byrne Cup final next Saturday in Tullamore (throw in at 14.45) as preparations continue for the national league. 

Philly McGuinness U20 League: Well done to the Longford U20 footballers on their fine win over Leitrim in Round 2 of the U20 League on Saturday. This win qualified Longford for the final of the competition. Dromard has four representatives on the Longford U20 team, Joseph Hagan (team captain), Aaron Farrell, Ollie Duffy and Conor McGauran. Best of luck to them and rest of the panel and their manager Donal Ledwith for the remainder of the year. 

New Arrival: Congratulations to former Dromard player Mell Duffy (Fyhora) and his wife Lisa on the birth of a baby boy on 7 January. 

Run 5K: Couch 2 5K in association with Longford Athletics and Dromard GAA starts on Monday 20 January at 9.30am in Moyne C.C. Everyone welcome. Cost is €30 which is the cost of registering with Longford Athletics. If interested, please contact Liz O’Reilly for further details. 

Dromard Healthy Clubs: Circuit training for all levels is underway for 2020. Classes take place on Saturday mornings at 8.30 and are a great way to start getting fit again.
