Division 1 League: Mostrim 2-16 Dromard 1-9. Our senior team was defeated by Mostrim in Round 8 of the league played in Devine Park on Saturday evening. Dromard struggled to get a foothold in this game from the outset and by half time Mostrim had built up a substantial lead. Dromard’s scorers in the first half were Francis McGee and Ronan McEntire. A Joseph Hagan goal immediately after the break and good points from Francis McGee, Kevin Kane and James Martin reduced the deficit to 5 points but Mostrim responded with further scores to record a deserved win. Dromard’s final league fixture is against Clonguish, due to be played in the coming weeks. Senior Championship Round 3: Our senior footballers return to championship action this weekend when we play county champions Mullinalaghta St Columbas in Fr McGee Park on Sunday evening (11 August) at 7pm. This is the final fixture in the group stages of the championship. Best of luck to the players and management team. We ask all our supporters to come out and support the team on Sunday.
