Minor Championship: Congratulations to the St. Francis Minor team on qualifying for the Championship Semi-finals. St. Dominic’s could not field on Monday, but on Thursday we travelled to play Southern Gales, in the beautiful Newtowncashel. This was an excellent game played in a very sporting manner by both teams, thanks to the excellent refereeing by John Cullen. The first half was very tight with some fantastic scores by both teams, with St Francis holding the edge at half time by a few points. The second half, Southern Gaels up the pressure with some excellent play and scores, but St Francis withstood the pressure and took control of the game. St Francis 6.15 to Southern Gaels 4.11. Semi-Finals planned for the 12th of August, all support welcome.

U14 Team: Hard Luck to our U14 team who lost to Grattan Gales on Friday last. St Francis put up an excellent score line of 5.11 to Grattan Gaels 8.16
