Places in the Munster final also up for grabs today, of course. Two of the four teams will advance to the decider, although the fact that Limerick won the All-Ireland last year via the other route - finishing third in the group - means the prize isn't quite as massive as it used to be. It's all about making the Top Three, really.
However, if the Banner County beat Cork and Tipperary fail to defeat Limerick, then Clare would grab an unlikely lifeline. After the unexpected events in Leinster last night, who knows?...
The most likely scenario is that Tipp, Limerick and Cork will all remain in the championship and Clare will exit.
