Galbally club notes

The Galbally Under 21 Footballers were scheduled to play Hospital/Herbertstown under lights in Knocklong on Friday night 9th November last, but the game was rescheduled at short notice due to the inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for this Friday night 16th November. However it is best to double check for fixture confirmation on the night before travelling and to keep an eye on social media.

The Intermediate team played Galtee Gaels in Glenroe in the replay of the South Intermediate Football Championship Semi Final, with the sides having drawn in the first encounter at Ballylanders in early July. After a titanic contest, Galtee Gaels emerged as winners by 1-14 to 1-12, after two lots of extra time. The score at full time was 1-8 to 1-8, after two ten minute periods of extra time it was 1-11 to 1-11 and finally the deadlock was broken at the end of two five minute periods of extra time on the final scoreline of 1-14 to 1-12.
