John Ryan has been reinstated as manager of the Limerick ladies footballers for 2019.

Despite guiding his team to All-Ireland junior honours this year, Ryan was controversially removed from the position following a dispute with the Limerick Ladies Football Board.

However, the powers-that-be did a u-turn at a specially convened emergency meeting in Rathkeale last night.

The Limerick Leader reports that Ryan received ‘a huge vote of confidence’ from his players and club delegates and, as a result, got his job back.
