Billy O’Loughlin is the new manager of Kildare senior football champions Sarsfields.

O’Loughlin replaces Davy Byrne who led ‘The Sash’ to a county final replay victory over local rivals Moorefield in October before taking up the Wicklow manager’s post.

The former Arles-Killeen and St Loman’s footballer managed the DIT Sigerson Cup team in 2018 before spending two seasons in charge of the Laois U20s. The O’Moore County reached the Leinster final this year, only to lose heavily to Dublin.
