Kieran Donaghy says Tommy Walsh must start the All-Ireland SFC final for Kerry after his impressive substitute appearance against Tyrone.

A decade after the 'Twin Towers' inspired the Kingdom to an All-Ireland final victory over Cork, Donaghy believes Walsh is the man who can stop Dublin's five-in-a-row bid.

"Tommy changed the whole dynamic of the game (when he came on)," Donaghy wrote in the Irish Daily Star.

"When Tommy played well in the league game against Dublin in Tralee earlier this year, they had to put James McCarthy to full back on him. Then you're losing McCarthy from the half back line. That's exactly what Kerry would want in the All-Ireland final.

"Tommy has to start the final. He can give you 55 or 60 of his best minutes and then you have James O'Donoghue to bring on for that bit of X-factor in the final minutes."
