Kerry midfielder David Moran says they’ll need to up the conversion rate for their “mammoth task” against Dublin next month.
The Munster champions came from behind in this afternoon’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final to outscore Tyrone by 1-13 to 0-9 in the second-half to set-up a winner takes all showdown at Croke Park on September 1st.
Speaking to RTE Sport afterwards, Moran said he was pleased with the improvement after half-time and also pointed out that the team’s attack is a source of pride in every game they got out.
"We felt we had plenty of chances in the first half to have gone in closer than we were. We just didn't take them,” the two-time All-Ireland winner stated.
"We take pride in the forward line we have and would have been disappointed with the chances we didn't convert. That was a big thing - we needed to convert the chances we created.
"We just needed to up it. We weren't happy with our first half performance. But the second half went well. Subs came in and made a big difference which is great."
On reaching their first All-Ireland decider since 2015, he added: "It would have been the aim at the start of the year. We haven't been here since 2015. We'll probably enjoy this semi-final for about 20 minutes and then we'll have a mammoth task to look forward to."
