Galway selector John Concannon believes London have shown significant improvement in recent times and says the Tribesmen will be treating their challenge with respect this weekend.

The Exiles host Padraic Joyce’s men at McGovern Park, Ruislip on Saturday afternoon in what will be the opening game in the 2024 Connacht senior football championship.

Speaking at the Connacht GAA championship launch, Concannon said that it’s an assignment that the group won’t be taking lightly.

“They have improved significantly, the London team now is so consistent as regards the personnel they have,” he is quoted saying by GAA.ie.

“In the last couple of years their league results have been better than they have been in previous years. They beat a Mayo team in the Dome with two or three experienced Mayo players and a lot of squad members.

“We definitely won't be taking them for granted.”
