Saturday night Tipp v Cats I actually expect Kilkenny to win. Pressure is off Tipp having won 3 games Kilkenny in my view need the points more and I don't expect many of Tipps established players to start.Ryan is still building a panel and it's games against top opposition like Kilkenny will tell him more about those guys viying for a jersey than those who beat same opposition last September.
The Cats probably need to find a few players but they will give Tipp probably their toughest game to date in the league.
Cats by 5 or 6.

With our best 15 and their best 15 not much in it but look in the league you'll never knew plus night time hurling conditions will be different so I guess it's more or less even but I just have a feeling they might sow a few seeds of doubt. Tipp have to lose at some stage we're not unbeatable.

I don't think Tipperary are going to let Kilkenny beat them in their own backyard. They want to put down a marker for the championship. It will be a tough game.

I never base anything on the league but.... Here goes, i think both teams will want to lay down a marker for the year. Tipp will want to win and prove they are top dogs now and keep the foot on KK. KK will want to win and put doubts back in Tipp heads that they have gone no where.
How long has KK had the edge over us from beating us year in year out in championship and league, now I think Tipp will want to be doing this to KK. Can see Tipp putting out a near full strength team knowing KK will be short a few and try give them a hiding and sow a few doubts into the KK heads. This league game is not about points it's about winning the mind games.

I hope your right but I can't see Kilkenny heading into last game of league with the situation out of their hands in a possible relegation play off. The league is funny at times everyone seems to beat each other and a team can be woeful for 2 games and then win 3 in a row.

Michael Ryan is not a "take the foot off the pedal" operator.

I see where you are coming from and I don't expect any more than 3 points in it either way but I feel this is Tipp's most important game in the league. They need to beat Kilkenny to get rid of that mental block once and for all.
Having said that - In a way I actually think overall we'd be better off not winning the league. In 2011 after a bad start in the League, we were flying come the start of the cship until it all started to stall come the semi final and we didn't show up in the final. Perhaps Ryan is keeping the players hungrier this time with the use of the panel but just as much as we go overboard when we lose I'd worry overconfidence could come into play if we stay winning. It's looked all to easy so far which you can't read into as it is only the league
Just remember Galway should've beaten us last year and KK led us after 40 odd mins. So the notion we are a good bit ahead of the pack is rubbish.

that was always going to be the case. Ryan wont take his foot off the pedal...he will want a home win and it will be even more satisfying for him if it draws kk towards the bottom 2. kk i expect will name there usual league team...not full strength either but not a million miles off. tipp for me by a good cupla of points

What a difference a month makes, as Dinah Washington almost sang.

Moving through the gears nicely, the engine quietly purring away (pun intended).

But the best of all is, new players have been blooded and not found wanting.

Could be a Tipp v KK League semi final if both win their games.
Another belter could be in store.
