There is a GAA club in Carlow called Michael Davitts. Don't know if any others around the country. There's a St. Patricks in Meath, Kilkenny, Limerick, Wicklow, Carlow, Wexford, Sligo, Louth, Kerry, Tipperary, Armagh, Fermanagh and Tyrone, and two in Dublin. As for Patriots I'm thinking Padraig Pearse if you include all the "Pearses" and "Na Piarsaigh", plus you also have Pearse park and Pearse Stadium! Longford Slashers take their name from Myles "The Slasher" O'Reilly who fought in the Irish Confederate Wars. There used to be a Cavan Slashers club but they merged with Cavan Harps to form Cavan Gaels in the 50s. Don't think there are any other clubs with the Slashers moniker.
