Gods Could Be On Mayo's Side

Back in 82 the experts told us that Offaly's only chance was if it became wet and windy. Conditions which sometimes gives the underdog a chance. Well it rained as they say ''a fair sup'' that September afternoon. And we all know what happened. Did anybody see the forecast for next Saturday evening. Rain and gale force winds are predicted. Maybe, just maybe

Mayo pushed Dublin to the pin of their collar 2 years ago in a scorcher, and in the lashing rain the year before. I am enjoying this weather chat though.

Dublin's last 2 Championship defeats came in the 2012 and 2014 Semi finals in glorious blazing sunshine.

Just saying.

I'd prefer a dry day but saying that I wouldn't be overly bothered if it was wet and windy either. The forecast at the moment is for wind and a few showers but it's only Wednesday so who knows what it will actually be like come Saturday evening!

The rain and gales are in the North West mostly. Just some showers in the east.

Wet windy day will suit Mayo and AOS and COC will enjoy throwing themselves about like they are on a diving board, but the Dubs are just too good, they can adjust whatever the situation, GTOAT?
Dubs by as much as they want is my prediction.

It'll be the same weather for both teams. It's not as if they're not used to it.

Mayo dont need weather to do the job. They are capable of beating Dublin rain, hail or shine.

God your hatred of Mayo is deep rooted , bet you'd rather Dublin win 10 in a row than see Mayo win just one. I have huge admiration for this Mayo team however I feel just like on previous occasions Dublin will be just too good. Nothing against Dublin , a magnificent team the best I've ever seen but as a Connacht man I'd dearly love to see Mayo to win an all ireland

Thank you green and gold I've always had great time for Leitrim. Now where's Belclare and all our Galway friends?

Well yeah! of course we will see.

Mayo are capable. I am not saying they defo will. The weather means zero as far as i am concerned. They are all top quality players in both camps and all used to playing in all sorts of weather.

Crazy as it is, I think Mayo can produce an upset and edge a fantastic contest by 1-2 points. They dont fear any team in a semi final. As a neutral I would love to see them go all the way. Some of those lads have provided the most entertaining games I have seen.
