Well this is going exactly as expected.

Cant blame either team.

Surely this has to signal the death of the Super 8's. Watching a fly fishing competition would be more engaging & entertaining.

The man is a all time great player."
Great tackle there from the great man. Wonder will Brolly go on a Cavanagh rant? Fat chance

Where in the name of God did the officials get 7 mins added time!

Are you sure it wasnt the Dubs cant take what they give out. A lot of Tyrone men taking tackles off the ball and not a word about it.

We will all b there come Sept 2nd what started as a dose of light blues has now become heavy blues ! Nothing but nothing to stop Dubs from history making and we won't hear the end of it Trouble is they look like occupying their perch for foreseeable future . What a team ! Ní raibh a leithèidí ann riamh we should just enjoy them 'Dublin Joe' and all ...... Remember we had 'Kerry Seamus' in 1979

Why would he? He wasn't about to pull the trigger in front of goal in a tight game where there was no black card. Cavanagh's antics was this reason the black card was introduced. Connolly got his card.

An just to really retract the urine, they went an played 7 minutes extra an other indication of the complete lack of common sense about these days, RIP SUPER 8S

It's a fixture that had to be fulfilled but what a feast next weekend :D

Cracking win from the Dubs! Wall to wall stuff! Tyrone really put it up to them, and could have won it at the end. Super 8s easily the best thing that's ever happened to Ireland since Setanta decided he'd follow along later.

(So is it next weekend that the championship for real actually starts again following this tiresome intermission?)

And joking aside, this really is some Dublin team.

What's that got to do with an elbow to the face. A hundred wrongs don't make a right. Plus there's a big difference between pulling and dragging and a forearm smash.

Jeez lads some off you really need to chill out. What the hell were you expecting? A championship intensity?

Both teams made 15 changes each. It's the way the results panned out.

Maybe a super 10 would be better. But what about the fixtures backlog for clubs and burn out?

Absolutely - given the nature of the line-ups, and the lack of importance of the result, the game was actually quite decent. It was never going to have the intensity of Mayo/Donegal, but the negativity here and on Twitter is way over the top.

Yeah, you're right. It's just selfish for fans of the sport to expect games in August to be meaningful or in any way entertaining.

Not blaming the counties involved, just the format.

Maybe you should go on a bit of a rant yourself if it makes you feel better.

What are they supposed to do? Ignore the rules and blow it up after 70mins and you'd have more complaints.

There were 7 mins added time so they played 7 mins.

People will really complain about anything!

Probably down to both teams emptying their benches and time allowed for each substitution, both physios were on a couple of teams but it did seem excessive for a game being played out in the manner it was but suppose the ref has to go with the guidelines laid out, the manner the game is being played in is not for him to concern himself with

Another win. Even if it was more a low level intensity league game, it had some nice scores, good tackles and two excellent goal keeping performances.
Happy with plenty of aspects to it as a Dubs fan,
GOAT championship run continues, keeps momentum, no injuries, no suspensions, fringe lads played well, Connolly, Brogan did well, you can't beat Tyrone enough.

Now onto the real stuff.
