I know this is a tough argument considering he is still very young, but the lad seems to have it all. the best about in my opinion

Potentially yes, he sure has it all, but a lot of tough games still to help decide that.

Ah, sure he's not even the best footballer in Kerry. A bit to go get I'd say.

He has many years ahead of him and looks a beast close inside and out around, think we will only see the best of him when the support cast are at his level. I think Sean O Shea is something special also and i would have him ahead of Clifford myself but i like that type of players - play maker so would be biased, he has more to his game at the moment.

If i had to call it though, id give it to Michael Murphy, pound for pound best player in Ireland for me.

Con O Callaghan has player of the year in his near future as well, given some of his performances this year. Forwards always get the plaudits, EBG would be in there for me, Jack McCaffery, Brian Fenton and Jamsey McCarthy. Rory Deane is having a terrific year and not many players are getting close to is performance level this year. Jamie Clarke is something to behold to, i always have a soft spot for maverick.

The lad is a phenomenon.

The only GAA player I'd compare him to is Joe Canning.

Michael Murphy is. And it pains me to say that.

No other player can do what he can.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet. Most exciting maybe but Brian Fenton is the player for me. Scary what he does from box to box.

I'd also rate the big Murphy lad up in Donegal ahead of him. Playmaker, scorer, grafter, ball winner etc. And he's been at it a while.

If you had a choice between Clifford and Diarmuid Connolly to add to the Dublin attack next time out. Who would you choose?

Incredible talent, he's been touted as potentially becoming the best in the game since the age of 17 the way he has handled that pressure is very impressive and still comes across as very grounded.

Right now Michael Murphy for me too.

If Clifford doesn't pick up any serious injuries in the coming years I think he will be the best before too long.

Canning isnt half the footballer Clifford is.

Excelled and feed off the green tidal wave of home support in Killarney ,
but its at HQs from the semi on-wards is where he will be truly judged.

I'd rank him no 1, even last year.

He could be.

He's yet to have any really big matches and to come up against the best man markers / defences. Next week will tell alot!

I saw Joe Canning in a football kickabout once. No messing but he couldn't catch a football to save his life!

Unreal player , Killarney has produced in the last 15 years Gooch , James O Donoghue and now Clifford imagine if there was only one club team in Killarney wow. That is one talented town for Gaelic football.

For me and obviously I'm biased but right now Brian Fenton is the best footballer in the game.

A smashing talent no question. Will be interesting to see how Donegal handle him and how he performs within the opposition 45 with 14 players closing down the space. The best footballers are consistent and for me he is still behind Murphy, Fenton and Kilkenny in that category. But he is still a kid with tonnes of games ahead of him with the potential to be one of the greats.
