I know this is a tough argument considering he is still very young, but the lad seems to have it all. the best about in my opinion boman11 (Antrim) - Posts: 237 - 15/07/2019 16:39:30 2211444 Link 0 |
Yes he is, he is just incredible and the scary thing is he is still so young and will get better and better Galwayjoe86 (Galway) - Posts: 258 - 15/07/2019 16:48:01 2211450 Link 0 |
Potentially yes, he sure has it all, but a lot of tough games still to help decide that. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4896 - 15/07/2019 16:49:15 2211451 Link 0 |
Ah, sure he's not even the best footballer in Kerry. A bit to go get I'd say.

He has many years ahead of him and looks a beast close inside and out around, think we will only see the best of him when the support cast are at his level. I think Sean O Shea is something special also and i would have him ahead of Clifford myself but i like that type of players - play maker so would be biased, he has more to his game at the moment. Michael Murphy is. And it pains me to say that. TakeyourPoint. (Tyrone) - Posts: 133 - 15/07/2019 17:12:04 2211465 Link 3 |
Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet. Most exciting maybe but Brian Fenton is the player for me. Scary what he does from box to box. Sindar (Roscommon) - Posts: 348 - 15/07/2019 17:37:32 2211481 Link 8 |
If you had a choice between Clifford and Diarmuid Connolly to add to the Dublin attack next time out. Who would you choose?

Incredible talent, he's been touted as potentially becoming the best in the game since the age of 17 the way he has handled that pressure is very impressive and still comes across as very grounded. reithi (Kerry) - Posts: 52 - 15/07/2019 17:39:57 2211483 Link 1 |
Right now Michael Murphy for me too. GeniusGerry (Kerry) - Posts: 2105 - 15/07/2019 17:54:28 2211488 Link 8 |

Excelled and feed off the green tidal wave of home support in Killarney , but its at HQs from the semi on-wards is where he will be truly judged. BeJasus (UK) - Posts: 383 - 15/07/2019 18:25:02 2211508 Link 5 |
I'd rank him no 1, even last year. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 15/07/2019 18:31:50 2211511 Link 0 |

I saw Joe Canning in a football kickabout once. No messing but he couldn't catch a football to save his life!

Unreal player , Killarney has produced in the last 15 years Gooch , James O Donoghue and now Clifford imagine if there was only one club team in Killarney wow. That is one talented town for Gaelic football. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 15/07/2019 19:33:35 2211548 Link 4 |
A smashing talent no question. Will be interesting to see how Donegal handle him and how he performs within the opposition 45 with 14 players closing down the space. The best footballers are consistent and for me he is still behind Murphy, Fenton and Kilkenny in that category. But he is still a kid with tonnes of games ahead of him with the potential to be one of the greats. Joxer (Dublin) - Posts: 4700 - 15/07/2019 19:33:42 2211549 Link 4 |
