Kerry on fire today KB you must be happy out?"
Very happy clon something to build on for next week, takes a bit of pressure off the Donegal game but we'll head up and play our own game.

Why would I be anti-Dublin? I have spent the best part of my life in Dublin! I'm pro-fairness in sport and fair distribution of funding - a level playing field. I have trained under-age Dublin hurlers! I agreed with the funding that was given to develop underage hurling in Dublin because it was needed there unlike the football.

Mayo were totally flat today. Kerry were brilliant but I think most teams in the super 8s would have beaten Mayo today. Where was Aidan ó shea. In my humble opinion he appears to vanish on big occasions. A very over rated player. Mad to stamp around throwing his weight about before the throw in but I didn't see much of him for the next 70",minutes

Ah your safe now even if Donegal beat ya's you'll beat Meath in the next game so it's all good. Don't think Donegal will beat ya's and if they don't they've to go to Castlebar so all the pressure on Donegal next weekend. It's exciting stuff all the same that's what we all want.

I thought offensively and defensively Kerry were scary today. There kicking, catching, power and pace was a joy to watch and it's hard to see how they wouldn't improve upon this in Croke Park. I'm not sure if they can beat Dublin this year but this looks like almost the perfect team already despite it's average age."
Steady on, they beat an injury ravaged and jaded team today. Kerry are a long way off a perfect team and are very much a work in progress. I think Donegal will really test how far Kerry have come next weekend in what will be a much more competitive affair.

Very happy with today, it couldn't have gone any better for Kerry really. I said on here a few weeks back that our season depended on David's Moran and Clifford and if anything happens to either we are goosed. They were our best players today. If they can maintain that kind of form anything is possible for Kerry.

if fatigue was an issue why get into an all out running game. Why not sit back with 1 or 2 sweepers and go long into the FF line. That way you would conserve energy and unlikely to lose by more than 4/5 pts that way you might get a win or if you lost you'd still be in control of your own destiny. with this hammering Mayo are fully dependent on Kerry beating Donegal to stay in the competition.

Also instead of playing a sweeper covering Clifford he puts Keegan on him taking Keegan out of the middle 8 where a number of players are already missing

Eehh?? 2015 maybe? Or 2017?

Or 2018? We won that one :)

Kerry looked Impressive, mayo seemed to have a very poor plan for winning the game, I was expecting to see mayo run at them instead we got 70 minutes of poorly placed footpasses into the full forward line. Kerry dominated the mayo kick out yet mayo never thought of doing anything else, granted Kerry did push up on the kick out but still surely that's the kind of stuff you work on in training, so that you know what to do in that situation. Mayo needed to slow that game down and make Kerry over commit to getting the ball back, it will be interesting to see how donegal set up against Kerry next week.

Aidan O Se is playing through an injury. I don't think any one player can be blamed as it was just a flat disjointed team performance. I tipped Kerry to beat us but didn't think we would get hammered.

You say anyone would have beaten mayo yesterday...maybe but who would have beaten Kerry bar Dublin yestwrday?

Lots of swimming. The lads take turns dressing up as Fungi and swimming for the tourists.
Paidi brought it in when Fungi passed away in 2001.
How do you think we paid for the new centre of excellence?

Mayor's inability to handle the two David's cost them dear.
Morgan's superiority in the middle was baffling, he caught clean ball after clean ball with Mayo not even able to break the ball down.
Going on on one with Clifford made no sense either & I doubt other teams will be so naive.

Equal pressure on Kerry and Donegal next weekend in my book. Two young teams competing to go at the Dubs later on possibly, each wanting to make a statement. Could be a coming of age for one of the teams.

Pat Spillane though it was the best display of football he has seen this year-Pat with his usual blinkers on. Mayo were poor yesterday. Moran looked good when brought on.

Congratulations to Kerry was a good performance.

Game didnt really live up to its billing entertainment wise and was a bit boring in the end, but that wont trouble either team.

Kerry looked good and as i predicted would bring joy, targeting Clarke and his kick out, saw them make hay. Moran had a great game, its a pity Mayo were so light in there with their injuries. Biut Kerry played some lovely stuff, O Shea i though was Kerry best. Clifford had a good game too. But it would be a hard man who would take MOM away from Moran.

Thought Kerry still looked vulnerable at the back and their will be bigger tests, they get overwhelmed and the plan yesterday was to foul up the pitch. A better team is going to break that line and a better team would have got goals yesterday, i think indiscipline could catch up with them.

Hard to know with Mayo, they just looked flat yesterday, they are capable of better, whether Mayo were bad or Kerry good is a hard one to work out maybe somewhere in the middle. You wouldn't put it past them to go and beat Donegal in the last day and make a semi, in traditional Mayo dramatic fashion. The quick turn around time caught up with them and they didn't put a glove on Kerry and were off them all day.

Much tougher opposition ahead for both teams if they have dreams of the first weekend in Sep, wouldn't be reading an awful lot into yesterday with still much to prove for both teams.

But fair play to Kerry you can only play whats in front of you and played some nice stuff.

That was Kerrys All-Ireland final yesterday.
The Yerra men and social media teams within the county created a siege mentality all week for the buildup ,
and it helped Kerry giving them a do or die attitude for the match.

Mayo will Lick their wounds and i wouldn't rule them out just yet.
Their injury list should shorten rapidly and should be a full strength should the reach the semi final stage ..
