Were two close matches in a well attended Breffni., Shercock had a great second half to retain senior status. Think they will be challenging for honours in the near future.
Crosserlough weren't just good enough to overcome Ramor who played very well. Ado Cole and James Brady were outstanding. Will take a good team to beat them in the final.

Replying To The Quiet Man:  "Great game of football tonight between Ramor and Crosserlough the best game off football I have seen for a very long time. I watched Ramor last week and to be honest I did not give them a chance tonight but fair play to them they played a quality intelligent all round game. I hope tomorrow nights game is as good. Heres hoping."
You must be far more easily pleased than I am, I thought it was a rather poor match. Overall standard was poor with only a couple of players standing out, Ado Cole showed he is still as good a club full forward as there is in cavan and Jack Brady done well in the half back line, James Brady was also quite good. Nobody stood out for crosserlough, they seem to have gone backwards since last year, I'm not sure what the reasoning for changing their manager was but it appears to have backfired. I'd be hoping today's semi final would be a big improvement on yesterday's.

Couldn't agree more. Poor game with little quality.

Brilliant win for Castlerahan over Cavan Gaels tonight - 1.11 to 0.09

Nice local derby in the final now v Virginia, especially after Ramor beat Castlerahan in a recent final.

Well if you call the Ramor Crosserlough game a poor game what do you call the sh*te on display tonight. Senior footballers so called county footballers I don't think I heard more than two cheers for the whole match. I don't know who the Gaels manager is but surely he had to see how bad several players were performing and to rub it in he left most of them on the pitch. In fairness the Martin Dunne he scored Cavan's first four points " I stand corrected here" He had to try and work hard on his own for no one made themselves available for support. The gaels allowed clever R Flannagan too much freedom more pressure should have been put on him after all he is not a young man anymore but looked very fit. Nice to see my friend Sean Brady get a few minuets. This was another observation that the gaels lad's did not look fit at all. Better luck next year.
Overall Castlerahan were the better team. One thing that stood out was the amount of time the Castlerahan mentor spent on the pitch is there one law for him and another for others. The amount of time he was trying to intimidate the referee and the lines man beggars belief. When a player was down injured he was right on the spot. I thought the medical people should be dealing with these issues not him. Remember a good few times the game continued. The gaels did not do this in support of them.
The final will be hard to call so not to cower out by not making my prediction I will go for Ramor but it will be close with both teams having a different type of play. Should Ramor play as they did Saturday night they will win.

The Junior final was a very enjoyable game with many stand out performers . Shannon Gaels got a goal early from defensive mistake and kept their noses in front when Killinkere got within a point Shannon Gaels got a goal . Killinkere had most of the possession and attacked relentlessly with Jason McLoughlin leading by example as the second half wore on Killinkere started using their bench and the fresh legs started to take their toll . Two goals in the space of a few minutes and the cup was heading to Killinkere.

Another poor game. Way more one sided than scoreline suggests. Gaels were very poor.

Good win for Killinkere yesterday. Very nervy in the first half and Shannon Gaels went favorites in my eyes at one stage mid way through the 2nd half but Killinkere battled well and deserved their elusive c'ship win in the end.

The stronger panel and subs made the difference in the end as Shannon Gaels matched them on the starting 15's with a brilliant performance from Jason McLoughlin in defeat, really showed his class.

In the Senior, Castlerahan have been very consistent without getting into full flow. You could argue Ramor's attack is moving that bit better and would make them slight favourites but the bookies have it the opposite way which I assume is based on their consistency over the season and the last few years.

Seems a 50/50 to me but I will Castlerahan to edge this final by 1 now that the final hoodoo monkey is finally off their back.

Others may disagree, but I think the Intermediate final will be equally 50/50. Laragh would have the younger, faster deeper panel, however I have not seen too many Belturbet c'ship games that were not close. They have a very tight defence, coupled with a great knack of getting goals to keep them in games.

Based on the reports from the last Laragh game, and based on what I have seen in almost every Belturbet game I was at in the last 5 years, I expect this to be a fiery encounter also in which anything could happen..

I will go with Belturbet by 1, something along the lines of 2-11 to 0-16.

Did you not see the amount of times the Cavan Gaels mentor ran on to the pitch for Castlerahan kickouts while wearing blue tops and blue bibs? Didn't do the gaels any good by the looks of it.

Looking forward to the final. Should be a very attacking contest from both teams.

Sean should go to the Imperial and tell the Castlerahan mentor about his behaviour.

SJ was not playing but spent as much time on the pitch as DK particulary in the early stages Sean may not have noticed SJ out on the field before the Castlerahan kickouts while wearing a Blue top as from a distance he looked as if he was player. To be fair to the officials they intervened and SJ donned a Hi-Vis bib. As to the Castlerahan Manager going out on the field to check if any of his players were hurt and needed to be replaced surely just a sign that he cares.

It's good to see the minor finals back in Breffni before the adult finals, Drumloman Gaels should win the Division 1

They weren't the only mentors who seemed to spend a lot of time on the pitch. A certain Mr A Forde seemed to spend an awful lot of time on the pitch during the Junior final as well.

Very one sided intermediate final.
Laragh are a nice young team and were far too strong for Belturbet who really didn't show up.

Atrocious game of football in the intermediate yesterday. Over after about 15 minutes. Belturbet were woeful. You'd think they didn't want to go up. Meanwhile, Laragh were busy talking about challenging for the senior title when they go up yet they couldn't handle 35 year old Eoin McGuigan. Like Mullahoran this year, they are in for a rude awakening.

would love to know how tom parsons in mayo was capable of travelling to and from wales to charlestown to train and play but Gearoid McKiernan is in need of a transfer as Cavan town seems to now be too far away from Swad?

in the final Castlerahan should have enough to see off Ramor but only just,

Might be an upset on the cards on Sunday. Ramor might have a bit more firepower-Cole, Brady, Bradley and Cadden. Castlerahan not running up big scores and are reliant on O'Connell and Enda Flanagan
