Just a little curious this morning.
Can any of you tell me how many club's are in a similar geographic position that my club is in.
The parish incorporates 3 counties and 2 provinces.

I believe Birr parish covers both Offaly and Tipperary, Birr and Carrig churches. Carrig is in North Tipperary.

Na Piarsaigh in Limerick draw off about 4 city parishes and one (Clare) rural one. Meelick is a big county Clare parish that covers Coonagh on the Northern Edge of the Limerick City boundary. So the likes of Kevin Downes and the Dempsey brothers are in a Clare parish but always hurled for Na Piarsaigh. The Dempseys are actually farmers in Coonagh so Na Piarsaigh isnt just a city club. The Casey brothers are Meelick parish aswell I think.

Everyone might know of Mullinalaghta, Longford now, it is part of the Scrabby parish which also includes Gowna in Cavan, so this straddles two counties and provinces. The parish extent is almost half water as it incorporates Loch Gowna, so you could argue that each club is a quarter parish actually...

Portarlington parish. Gracefield in .Co. Offaly, and across the River Barrow in Co. Laois, Portarlington GAA club.

Tubber In Co. Offaly is part of Rosemount parish in Co. Westmeath. Tubber play in Offaly, and Rosemount in Westmeath.
I thought Clonmore Harps, Offaly, are part of Ballinabrackey parish, Co. Meath. Castlejordan is in Co. Meath.

Tubber Is a parish that spans both Galway and Clare and obviously Connacht and Munster. Their hurlers play for Clare.

Athlone GAA straddles both sides of the River Shannon covering two different parishes , two different dioceses and two provinces and we Rossies would argue two different counties but thats a long story.
As there is no strict parish rule in Westmeath, technically Garrycastle are in the same boat but they tend to draw from the eastern side only of Athlone town.

I thought Tubber was totally Clare and Beagh, on the Galway side of the border, was a parish in its own right?

Kiltegan in Wicklow and Rathvilly in Carlow are all one parish.

Could easily have met in Leinster club championship a few years ago. Carlow champs drawn against Wicklow champs in round one. Both made their county finals but while Rathvilly won in Carlow championship Kiltegan lost in Wicklow final.

Don't think that's true, is it? Páirc Esler is on the left bank of the Newry river, which is definitely in Down as far as I thought...

I believe that Castlejordan is where the parish church is located, hence the parish being called Castlejordan. It should be on the Catholic parishes anyway, I forget the website.
