Replying To Oldtourman:  "Really. Six of the the All Winning side off and four playing in the same positions as on All Ireland Final day and and they go to KK and beat them by nine points and they only beat ye because ye were tired. Remember always. Winners are winners and losers make excuses."
Ye were 'Losers' for 45 years, you have a good panel now but still only beat Wexford by 3 with basically a full team so I wouldn't be getting too far ahead of yourselves, be gracious !

This thread is full of nonsense. Cork v Clare was played at the tempo of a challenge match. Clare were killed by their fouls, Horgan scoring 15 frees, Duggan hit 3 missed maybe 4 or 5, any sensible man would have realized the ref was giving soft frees and adapted, Clare did not. Limerick have complained for years that they weren't not getting out of 1b because Na Piarsnage players were still with the club, now take great achievement for beating Kilkenny while Ballyhale are on the go with their most influential player. That win for Wexford should raise alarms, beating tip by a point at the death. A team that employs a sweeper has a man up with over a half to play. They should have taken advantage moving to an orthodox positioning, keeping their backs at a man up, and won easily. If you all want to boast and bicker about past days make a new thread.

Replying To festinog:  "Some very easily wound up Limerick lads today.

And no Munsterchamp, Limerick were favorites in my eyes (if you could be bothered, and frankly if you are you need to get out more) you could check my comments last year and see that not only was I the first on here to predict a Galway v Limerick final, I also predicted a Limerick win. We had no form at all last year (a bit like this year so far) and scrapped to the final by the skin of our teeth. Limerick on the other hand, once ye beat us in Salthill, kicked on and played like champs for the rest of the summer. A bit like ye have this year.

So easy up my Treaty friends, ye're making it too easy, for no reason, for us to get the wind up ye."
could you send that message again in english......

September 4th 1994, 5 minutes left in the All Ireland final Limerick 2-13 Offaly 1-11, final score Offaly 3-16 Limerick 2-13. A bit of appreciation and acceptance that all Ireland's are not easy won would go along with some supporters on here. Overconfident and cockiness has and will be the downfall of many sides. I was delighted to see Limerick finally get over the line last year, championship isnt far off, this year there's no more hiding in the long grass, Surprise factor is gone, will it be two in a row or Kiely must go !!!!

Replying To Oldtourman:  "If Galway were that tired how come they played their best hurling in the last ten minutes of the seventy. This tired excuse is all nonsense."
Limerick got tired plus some injuries, and the pressure got to them as well. It could easily have been a draw. Limerick were deserving winners. Any objective Galway supporter who was in Croke Park for the final would admit that the better team won and could have won by more.
Time to move on from it. It's another season!

Galway will be back with a bang this year..nobody is saying anything about Waterford either at the moment,,,,maybe because they played the 3 weaker teams so far in the division but they could be the real dark horse

Well said baire 2018 is over and gone it's only middle of February different teams are at different stages of their development, their team selection, their confidence levels, having access to club and colleges players and their training schedule. Limerick are ahead of the pack at the moment but come May it will all have tightened up again and it will come down to the last 10 minutes of most games.

He had Galway Tipp and Clare. Said he liked what Clare are doing at the moment but yet said limerick are going too well and so are not contenders. contradictory indeed.

totally agree with updwell

we are doing good now but Tipperary were flying it last year, won the NHL and had a poor championship. It was great to win in Nowlan Park but 6 months hard slog ahead.

Thanks baire. Very fair assessment and the best of luck to Galway in 2019, though of course I hope Limerick can retain the big one. What happened yesterday means nothing.
