Just been watching a game my Dad brought me to 30 years ago on YouTube, the Dublin minors versus Galway in Croke Park. It was a poor enough match, but a lot of that Dublin team went onto play for the seniors over the years, most notably Dessie Farrell and Brian Stynes. While watching, I noticed a tricky right half forward from Raheny called Derek Howard, who kicked two points in that match. Does anyone know if he happens to be Brian's dad? That's right Dickie, I stayed for that one as well. That was a serious Meath team back then. Any ideas about the Howard connection? Been wondering about that since Brian made his breakthrough a few years ago! Ballboy (Dublin) - Posts: 88 - 10/11/2018 09:20:44 2150491 Link 0 |
