Replying To jj19:  "Dingle selector getting 8 week ban"
We will sort nothing with those sort of bans..

While the rows are embarrassing enough, how we deal with them as an organisation is even more embarassing

3 months for tickling a linesman

8 weeks for a selector running onto the field hitting a defenseless player and knocking him out.

The Gaa is a disgrace.

How can a man only get 8 weeks for what he did shocking. You did that on the street you'd do time.

Read the below and justify your stance on Tyrone Footballs history when it comes to violence on the pitch.

Regardless of the above the point I'm trying to make is as follows:

1. There is an issue with discipline in GAA and there seems to be an attitude that it is OK to full on brawl if you put on a GAA Jersey which is wrong.
2. This problem appears to be worse in the North than in other counties - that might seem like a generalisation but i have given plenty of examples.
3. People are taking offence to thr fact that incidents are being reported rather thank realizing a problem exists and dealing with it,

An article written by a Clare man talking about violence in Tyrone GAA, in which the incidents span the last 40years?? You could literally write a similar article about every County in Ireland.

In repsonse to your three points:
1. I agree
2. Disagree- as I said it happens in every County in Ireland- it's just made out to be a bigger disgrace when it involves a team/teams from the north.
3. I've no problem with incidents being reported I just have a issue when it's made out to be a problem predominately in the North

5 examples in the last 12 months of brawls and assaults on gaa fields involving non ulster teams.

It's not worse in Ulster than the rest of the country, it's a blight affecting the organisation as a whole. Needs to be looked at collectively.
