Seen it. Very bad to see in our sport.

Fair enough.
Sounds like he deserves whatever he gets.
What needs to happen is game bans.

Exactly...Roscommon manager pushes officials, gets a ban but will only miss one match...a meaningless match.

In a way I feel a little sorry for him because he is rightly going to get the book thrown at him. And that just has to happen. It just looked like the red mist completely descended on him and he lost it with everyone. He'll pay dearly for it now, you just can't be pushing refs. He's going to spend a considerable amount of time on the sideline. Hopefully he'll think twice next time.

Very serious incident, the level of aggression and viciousness was frightening, he was proper choking the kildare fella before he even touched the referees. The ref looked a bit shook after it. GAA need to take proper action against this, it was pure thuggery.
They went to town on diurmuid Connolly when he touched the linesman, will be interesting to see the consequences.

you should get a 1 yr ban for so much as laying a finger on an official

There's always a chance of that happening when the standard of refereeing is as appalling as it was for today's final. Some really shocking black cards decisions. Young lads deserve better than that level of incompetence when they are putting their lives on hold for football.

If Joe McQuillan gets all Ireland finals year after year it's a sign the standard needs to improve.

Decisions in all sports does not give anyone the right to push a official . oh maybe you could take it up and be perfect

Standards of refereeing does need to improve through the training refs get and help they recieve on rules of the game etc but you can never defend a ref being touched/attacked/hit.
There is never any defence for that.

When I saw it in Croker today I thought, ooops, this lad is in for a long suspension.

Deserves a lengthy ban for sure.

Totally unacceptable - not matter what age he is....!

There's no defence in fairness. Hiwever had the ref taken some kind of action about 20 mins earlier when Flynn took a kildare player clean out of it off the ball it might have quietened him a bit. I was in front of cusack and bith ref and linesman were in full view but did nothing.

was a bit shocked by this incident , was in a different league to Diarmuid Connolly / Kevin McStay. It was clear the lad was losing it before pushing the ref in a very aggressive manner and went back for a second equally aggressive go when the ref gave him a red card.

Just watched the clip, that lad should not be let on a Gaelic pitch again until he learns some manners, disgraceful behaviour, I don't like the way this is going and we have to stamp this behaviour out right away with fines an lengthy bans if not lifetime bans, will we hear from all the holy Joe's now to tried to crucify Diarmuid Connolly?
When you have the likes of Kevin Mc Stay behaving like this and Andy Moran as well earlier in the year it's very worrying for the image of Gaelic football too. shocking stuff.
