Replying To jonno:  "Witnif you're doing your own county a disservice bringing up money. Better not to talk about the imbalance of distributions given to your county in the last 10 years. Oh and we built something with the money we got. Lucky for ye everything goes to the blue brigade."
No problem two years ago with Kildare opting to play in Croke Park after a stand-off once the cheque book was opened. Nor receiving a Bail out in 2015 from HQ. Your chairman mentioned his primary goals were eliminating the crippling debt the county has AND upgrading St Conlaiths, he is clearly concentrating on the first rather than the second. Dublin has what it has because it can generate more than enough money to spread around. Imagine in a Super 8 game the largest population in the country with probably the best cash generation for the GAA having to squeeze into to likes of your county ground. Something has to give the GAA has to get money from somewhere you can't have the some counties contributing and some counties (if better run) being carried. I think the ramifications of this episode will ultimately lead to a two/three tier championships.

Hahaha ah arock let it go. You have produced zero to back up anything you claim, yet keep spouting it. St.Conleth's is being upgraded so you are out of steam on that. Parnell Park will go on being ignored and Dublin will have no capital costs to worry about. You will keep playing in the ground the whole country paid for so looking down your nose at anyone is a bit much. Even the GAA president said this morning Newbridge will host a super 8s game should we be in it so you are clearly way out of step. Get a grip man, you are sounding just a bit pathetic now.

Hopefully one of the positives out of this is the recognition that Newbridge badly needs an upgrade, that would be good for everyone. With Navan also on the way, Offaly, Laois, and Kilkenny having great grounds the majority of Leinster teams would be in a good spot. Hopefully this debacle will be a once off. Is there a timeline on the Newbridge upgrade.

Newbridge is scheduled to close after the league next year and be ready in time for the 2020 season from what I hear.

Looks like they are increasing the pitch size as well that might bring the pitch closer to stands and terraces, what will the attendance be 15k?

I heard Navan has fallen through? Newbridge will hold 15,000 in April 2020 and be a far nicer/cleaner venue come then. This has been on the cards long before the Newbridge or Nowhere debacle.
