Who would you give man of the match to from today's game?"
Johnny Buckley for me for what it is worth. Followed by Peter Crowley and the keeper.

Congrats to the Kingdom again. Gutted for the Galway lads, hope that div. 1 helps us compete with the better sides for the future. Thank you to all involved in the Galway set up.

I backed Donaghy at 12/1. Looked like a winner on first half performance but didnt do much in the second half. Id say maybe Kelly or Murphy.

Buckley also had a good game. Close one.

Commiserations to Galway, you may have been well beaten in the finish but if you had taken some of your goal chances it could have been a much closer finish. Your midfield should be a strong sector of the team but, for some reason or other, it's just not functioning. I hate to see Coyne getting constant criticism as he is a very whole hearted and skilfull player who tries to drive his team forward at all times but he is simply not a full-back. Burke and Comer are very exciting players

I wouldn't take too much notice of mayo and the rossies today which ever1 of them makes it through to meet us in the semifinal won't need any extra motivation and that's for sure.

Jays the mayo fans will be broke by the end of the year the way things are going."
No they won't need extra motivation especially Mayo. But as average as Kerry were today alot of it was down to not really being challenged to get outta 2nd gear as a result of the poor goal shooting from Galway and their unwillingness to really throw the shackles off when needed in the 2nd half of the 2nd half. The fitness of O'Donoghue must be a major concern however.

We were crap, Moran was brutal donnacha desperate as was Mikey geaney,

The only silver lining was Paul Murphy Brian Kelly and Johnny Buckley and Crowley really shone out.

If we play like we played today against Mayo or Roscommon we'd be hammered.

On a final note Galway have division 1 football to look forward to next year and best of luck in 2018."
Yerra ye are doing alright for a small western county that's just coming out of transition, the 4 regions will sort ye out though.

Ah we were only going through the motions for the majority of that game today. Nowhere near enough to the level required to beat any of the teams left.

Look what div1 football has done for Roscommon, it'll bring ye on leaps and bounds no doubt about that,

Yer boys will have a few weeks off now and they'll tear into the county championship and then they'll start to prepare for their div1 campaign.

Ye have classy footballers and ye have some great U21s coming through as well.

Did Rory Kavanagh just throw Kieran Donaghy under the bus?

Yes & in the analysis of the next game where there was a similar incident he described it as been "part of the cut & thrust of C'ship football" seems Rory might have some agenda. Donaghy saved an out of sorts Kerry team today along with Paul Murphy & Buckley

I wouldn't say Rory threw star under the bus at all.

It was an incident and it had to be highlighted, star should have known better , If there are repercussions then he has no one to blame only him self.

I don't see why they had to bring Connolly into it though to be honest.

Galway were awful. If we are serious about breaking into the top 4, our workrate, especially tackling needs to be ramped up. We simply didn't believe we could beat Kerry, and they were there for the taking if we'd been more clinical. The bigger picture though, not enough guys who'll hurt themselves, putting their bodies on the line like the rossies. that was the biggest disappointment yesterday. It's a year of progress for sure, but in Division 1, workrate needs to be ramped up.
