Galway vs Kerry

Replying To MesAmis:  "About as much intensity in this game as at an over 45s 5-a-side game at the Astro.

Lads just strolling about.

Kerry playing well within themselves and leading by 7.

The only problem for the Kingdom is by the time they play Mayo they'll have had no test whereas Mayo will be battle hardened."
That's what's wrong with the championship structure, Kerry won't need to step up to full throttle until the final, the Mayo game will just prime them for a shot at taking the Dubs down. It will be intersting to see how this super 8's pans out.

Game over half time. Kerry only in second gear. Donaghy having a field day. Jack Barry doing well too. Galway are very poor. Damien Comer very over hyped player. Bar one shot he kicked straight at Fionn Fitz he did nothing else. I would be worried about not being tested before Mayo game in 3 week's. Kerry will win this by 10 plus

Cynical Kerry - surely not?

Enright - knew what he was doing - that should have been a black

Another possible black card for dragging down the Galway player.

The advantage rule is there for a reason!

Frustrating when it's not used. To be fair though with the way Galway are shooting for goals in this match you wouldn't expect them to have scored.

It's an exhibition in awful defending from both teams.

This is my first time seeing Galway this year.

What jokers claimed that Galway have a good forward line?

They're awful.

They're making the wrong choice every single time.

Poor atmosphere, Galway with about 5-6 goal chances . Would love to see Galway win

Thanks God we got beat in Sligo anyway, it shows you how badly managed Donegal are when this Galway team hammered us.

I cannot believe how bad Kerry have been. Their defence has been sunderland esque. And to echo Mes. Galway forwards my hole. Headless

The more I watch this the more I think Galway are poor and if Kerry were playing any of the top 4-5 teams they would've been beaten and I include Mayo and Monaghan in that 4-5!

An ok performance from the Galway lads. Sideline made some wrong calls eg too many second half subs. Galway county board must start looking at the senior management if Galway are to survive in division 1 next year imo. A shake up could be needed at Coaching level. I expect Roscommon to see of Mayo.

Kerry were very poor - but Galway still weren't good enough to beat them

That is what u call going out with a limp fart. Just further emphasizes how bad Donegal have become. If that was not a reality check for the county board and players nothing will. Kerry never out of 2nd gear and win at a canter. Galway clueless in front of goal shooting shocking. Yes a couple of decent saves from the keeper but at the perfect height for him. The decision making was poor too. Comer elected to shot one of his chances when a simple hand pass would have resulted in a tap in.

I really thought this would be a great match, Galway just didn't have enough belief in themselves. Kerry look very vulnerable when Galway ran at them, this could be an issue for them down the line against the likes of Dublin and Tyrone. However they are in the semi final and haven't got out of second gear so are in a good place. I thought Johnny Buckley had a great game.

It is going to be a big season for Galway next year as they really need to kick on. They have some really good players and I think they can improve next year.

A little less arrogance mightn't go amiss there. "This Galway team..." Yes, that put 4-17 past Donegal.

Our footballers have swopped roles with the hurlers. Talk about lack of consistency! Some terrible wasted chances up front today, which though they certainly didn't cost us the game (well done Kerry by the way!), they made it impossible to even stay within sight. I never expected a win, but was hoping for a tighter game.

Oh well, Division 1 next year, and then we'll see if these team can settle down into something a little more dangerous.

Well done to all and thanks for the effort ye put in all year.
