You mean do justice for Galway don't you?

Limerick should throw caution to the wind here. The problem with them is that they often seem happy to take a glorious defeat.
They are well capable. Young upcoming Team with loads of pedigree as we saw in the U-21 hurling against a team that looked out of sorts against Wexford.
The best time is now. I said that when they lost to the Cats in 2014. When the door is opened you have to go through it....

so so sick of glorious defeats.... If we won 5 pts to 3 pts, after going an hour without scoring, I'd take it.

Sadly another glorious defeat tonight, tried their best but never looked like winning it.

Yeah, died with our boots on but our limitations were evident. a more clinical team would have beaten Kilkenny tonight. that said some of our young lads were excellent tonight.. Hopefully future is looking a bit better.

Nowlan Park, Brian Gavin, Mick Fennelly and not Waterford or Tipperary. Brian Cody couldn't have hand-picked a better set up.

Kilkenny deserved winners, lots to improve upon.

Limerick their usual selves- lots of huffing and puffing, but not enough quality skilful stick men to take down one of the top teams.

Well this game followed the usual script. Another heroic defeat for Limerick against Kilkenny. Yawn.

Be positive. There's plenty to look forward to. You'll be stronger and better next year

Perfect conditions for hurling on a glorious summer's evening in Kilkenny. But, with Limerick gone, Kilkenny do not look like potential All-Ireland winners. That said, it was an improvement on the last game against Wexford, and they will learn a lot from this game. Although I think Cody is still unsure about his best 15. I think that, by and large, the 15 that finished the game were better than 15 that started.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on Wexfords abilities this time tomorrow.. You lot spent plenty years in the wilderness huffing and puffing and shipping 16&17 point defeats to Kilkenny.
We were beaten by the better team, no shame in it. Hurled well also.

Re: KK

Defending got better as the game went on. Good comeback from Fennelly.

Hogan and Aylward need to come good to make any impression on this Championship

These games are gold for them. If they get over the next round they wont fear the losers of the Provincials and could be a different beast in August!

Re: Limerick - Good showing in Kilkenny. Must be very frustrating to be playing so little big games during a season!

The referee had no bearing on the game so I don't know why you're bringing him into it.

Kilkenny were the sharper team...having said that, Brian Gavins apparent love affair with Kilkenny continues..he gave at least 2 very questionable free's at a crucial juncture tonight..one when two Kilkenny defenders collided with each other....Kilkenny player threw the ball in a pass for point scored by I think Walter Walsh...its easy say these thing happen and balance out but they alwasy seem to go the way of the stronger teams for some reason..he pulled a Limerick player for a fairly harmless high hurl despite the Kilkenny man riding the challenge and emerging with the ball...a far cry from Brian Gavins refereeing of some of Kilkennys All Ireland wins when he let them away with some terrible stuff..

Ha ha indeed! We actually beat Kilkenny once in a while. We have beaten them 3 times and drawn with them twice in the championship in the Brian Cody era, which is a better record than any other county. We will definitely beat them this year if we meet. Meanwhile ye have not beaten them since 1973 and I doubt you will beat them in the next 44 years either.
