Tyrone PRO Eunan Lindsay believes that the demand for tickets for the All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Dublin will exceed the number wanted for the county's 2008 triumph.

Such is the interest in this year's semi-final on Sunday week, Tyrone supporters are set to descend on Croke Park in their tens of thousands and Lindsay told the Ulster Herald that the numbers set to attend will at least match the Tyrone support for their last All-Ireland triumph when they defeated Kerry nine years ago.

"The county's order for tickets was sent to Croke Park and the expectation is that the numbers attending are probably going to be at the levels last seen in 2008," said Lindsay.

"From talking to clubs across the county, the demand and interest in this game is very high, and even more so than the recent All-Ireland semi-finals against Mayo and Kerry.

"It is estimated that around 10-12,000 supporters travelled to the quarterfinal win over Armagh and that number could be exceeded on Sunday week. There is definitely likely to be a greater scarcity of tickets on this occasion. That is prompting more people to make orders through their local clubs.

"The allocation to clubs is based on their membership, but hopefully everyone who wants to attend the semi-final will be able to get a ticket."
