Diarmuid Connolly has been included in Dublin's match-day 26 for their All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Mayo this evening.

The St Vincent's clubman will wear the number 19 jersey after making his first championship appearance for the Dubs since the 2017 All-Ireland final in last Sunday's dead-rubber Super 8s clash with Tyrone. Bernard Brogan, Rory O'Carroll and Eoghan O'Gara also featured in Omagh, but such are Dublin's embarrassment of riches that they have failed to make the match-day squad on this occasion.

Contrary to speculation, David Byrne and Michael Darragh Macauley are named to start, with Cian O'Sullivan returning at full back and Philly McMahon and the fit-again Jonny Cooper having to make do with places on the subs bench.

Dublin (SF v Mayo): Stephen Cluxton; David Byrne, Cian O'Sullivan, Michael Fitzsimons; Jack McCaffrey, James McCarthy, John Small; Brian Fenton, Michael Darragh Macauley; Niall Scully, Con O'Callaghan, Brian Howard; Paul Mannion, Dean Rock, Ciaran Kilkenny.
