An Riocht club notes

October 29, 2019

Clive Roberts from Slievenaman visited the Kingdom Men’s Shed on Wednesday to present a slideshow about his many visits to Nepal to access the Himalayas. From the capital city of Katmandu, Clive made his way out into the valleys to find the treks which would take him to about 18,000 feet. Clive has been climbing mountains for a long time and has visited all seven continents, including Antarctica, in pursuit of his hobby. He will be back later in the year to power-point his other adventures in these places. (photo)

Thanks to the eight volunteers who attended the training night for Lotto, the new rota is now up and running. (photo)

At the pre-AGM meeting held on last Wednesday it became apparent that for a variety of reasons we are light on nominations for positions on the Executive. We really believe that we can fill all positions for the coming year, something we have never achieved before; for that reason, we are accepting nominations up to 11am on Sunday 3rd November. If you might be interested in joining An Ríocht Executive and want to know more what that entails then please speak to a committee member or call out to Dunavil any time; if not you, then who? Thanks to the six Club Officers who have submitted their annual reports. All AGM documents will be available for collection from the club after 12pm on Sunday 3rd November. The AGM of An Ríocht will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 7th November.
