Senior Men in conjunction with Donegal Commercial Vehicles

Our senior mens teams both played away to Sean Mac Cumhaills on Saturday evening. our seniors played their best game of the season defeating the home side and in doing retained their status in Divisions 2 for next season and prevented the home team in securing the league title. The reserves lost their final game of the league.

Attention now turns to Championship with the first game being at home to nieghbours St Micheals on Saturday evening. Check local press for times.

Well done to all the u10 girls who took part in the LK Gaels tournament on saturday. Eight clubs had girls teams involved, so competition was tough. Our Termon girls performed really well and showed great determination, grit, skill and enthusiasm. Well done to Maureen and Andrea who have done so much with these girls this year, well done all The girls who were there on Saturday were: Muireann Reidy, Roisin Whoriskey, Lucy Trearty, Laoise Duggan, Noinin Quinn, Emma Doherty, Grace Strain, Grainne Gallagher, Cayla Mc Fadden, Cara McLaughlin, Bridin Friel, Kate McCafferty, Lauren McCaul, Maeve Strain, Sadie McGettigan and Orla Cunningham. Our U9 and U10 boys also took part in the same tournament Our B team were in a very strong group of Letterkenny Gaels ( Buncrana tournament winners) , Gweedore & Ardara. They won all their games to advance to the semi final of the cup competition, there they beat Glenswilly to get to the final. The boys put up a great performance, however they were beaten by a very strong Four Masters side.

The A team defeated the hosts Lk Gaels and Gweedore and had already qualified for the cup competition before playing Ardara. In the semi final we beat a Four Masters side who were unbeaten in the group stages. In the final against a very strong Ardara side, we were level after normal time. We had a free to win the game, unfortunately the hooter sounded and we were not allowed to take the free. After extra time an exceptional Ardara side secured the win after an exceptional game from both teams. Both teams deserve huge credit for such an enjoyable game of football.Liam and Jim have done a fantastic job with these boys as both teams performed fantastically all day. The effort all the young boys gave was immense. These boys still have 2 tournaments left so plenty to look forward to. Best wishes to Fionn who took a knock to the knee. A huge thanks to the parents who supported all both of our teams also huge thanks to Brian Sweeney and all at Lk Gaels for a very enjoyable day. Team A. Brendan Cunningham, Damhan McGettigan, Michael Moore, McKenzie Friel, Ronan Cunningham, Ciaran Conaghan, Charlie Gorman (capt). Team B Daithi McGlynn (Captain) Joey Gorman, Anthony McCole, Tarlagh Diver, Lee McGettigan, Caolan McTaggart, Jamie Toland, Gavin Gallagher, Shay Roarty, Shea McGettigan, Cormac Sweeney, Michael Boyle, Charlie Gallagher, Jack McFadden, Liam Boner. Coaching this week on Thursday eve 6 to 7.15 & Saturday 10.30 to 11.45. The schedule for the next few weeks sees these boys play in the St Eunans tournament on Saturday 15th & the Four Masters tournament on Saturday 22nd.

Our U14 boys season cane to an end last week in disappointing fashion. Unfortunately Downings would not facilitate our request to play our U14 Div 3 shield semi final from Friday evening. Paddy Hugh and Eddie can only apologize to our boys as the had put a lot of effort all season and the boys deserved to play their game. Our A team were well beaten by a very impressive Dungloe / Na Rossa team on Friday in the County A Semi final. Again it was a hugely disappointing end to what had been a fantastic season for this team. Thanks to Paddy Mc Menamin and Hugh Harkin for their work since February with this team.

Preparation for the U16 Div 1 League Final has picked up pace now that we know our boys will face Four Masters in the final. No date confirmed yet but it will be in the next few weeks so keep up the hard work boys.
