Please tell me what I am missing. I organized at match but forgot to check if pitch was available, but because pitch is unavailable for whatever reason it is someone else fault.

Replying To Midleton:  "Perhaps ,as a goodwill gesture, the GAA should organise a former Cork hurling players team to play a former All-Ireland hurling players team for the charity?"
With all due respect, this is getting really silly, in cork there some young ex gaa players who passed away or others sick or with families in serious financial situation not to mention the rest of ireland. I don't here all demanding cork players as a gesture give up there free time for these. If your going to criticize someone who can not organise a training camp in sapain (mick mc carthy) Expect to be criticized when you organized a match and discover that thimgs are not right.

Experimental Rule Changes Proposed For Gaelic Football - 2 Like(s)
Have to be careful, with changes. First when is this golden era we dream back at is it the 70s or 80s, well looking back at matches there was some muck played then at times too. Looking back in the 70s/80s in our county's final scores were ranging from about 7 to 11scores per team. Last 10 years you would be expecting between 16scores for winners and above 10 for losers. So is a lot more scoring than 30/40 years. The game has evolved and will, it is getting faster, some one these ideas will slow down game which I think will help negative teams

The last 14 remaining in football championship - 2 Like(s)
Why say last 14!! Should be last 16 or else wait until last 12 when A and B of qualifiers are at same stage. Can really say no need for B championship when team got one luck draw from the hat

Introducing The Mark - 1 Like(s)

Replying To Green_Gold:  "To be honest it has made little or no difference. When a player catches the kick out he normally wants to get it forward as quick as possible before the blanket defence get a chance to organize. The mark doesn't really help in that regard. I don't think it has done any harm either, just not made a great impact. The vast majority of kick-outs are short ones anyway."
agree that it has not made a big difference, but the only things that it has stop is when there has being a good catch and 3/4 players stand around him and don't allow him to play

Tipperary V Westmeath - 1 Like(s)
I don't blame Tipperary for not ceding home advantage. But one similar topic if we are all gaa people that want to promote Gaelic games in every county. We do have to look at games like this and see if a chance of promoting in this case hurling in Westmeath. A few years ago I remember Longford going to Kerry o play them in qualifiers. If that was in Longford it would have being at massive marketing cue for gaa in Longford. Like wise if Dublin had gone to Carlow or mulingar in this years competition. The profile of the game in those counties would be brilliant. If a team we say are are number 1 or 2 in country in relation to football or hurling can't travel to carlow or Mullingar and win, they will be found later by stronger teams

Does GAA get fair coverage compared to soccer and rugby - 1 Like(s)
Think rte is bad. newstalk in morning 7.00-9.00 is just about dundalk and rugby, seriously thinking of changing chanels, one of biggest matches with dundalk and longford a week ago less than 500 at it. but got more radio time. would be more at under 6 or under 8 match

Dublin vs Monaghan - 1 Like(s)

Replying To seanfinn:  ""People come on here and berate leinster football and pontificate to us on how poor it is and how we can't get near Dublin and then we get a game like yesterday from what is supposed to be one of Ulster's top teams. They were simply blown away. Tyrone walked through Ulster, Kerry the same in Munster and even The Rossies had it handy in Connacht. There wasn't one decent provincial final this year. I said before on here if Dublin were in any of the other provinces they would have won the championship in that province most of the last few years and I think that stands up to scrutiny. But they are in Leinster and Leinster teams have to deal with them earlier than the rest, while the other teams around the country are battling it out to win their own provinces and at least pick up some silverware. It's easy to look down your nose at leinster football but look around your own province and ask how strong is it in reality." As your memory isn't great, above is what you posted and what I disagree with. Dublin would win the other provinces over the last few years is nonsense and impossible to prove or disprove. If a few means three you could argue they may have won the last two….as they won the eventual All Ireland. They wouldn't have won Ulster in 2014 that was Donegal who beat Dublin in the SF that year… Now you are saying this problem in Leinster has spread across the provinces. That is laughable. It's a mighty two in a row for Tyrone - they won by two points last year. You are looking at 2017 and forming an opinion without taking a wider view. Even look back 5-10 years. That's where you would find a trend. You can't form a trend with 1 or even two points of data. Only in Leinster there is a clear trend. The gap has got wider and wider. In ten anglo celts - 3 for Tyrone, 3 for Donegal, 2 for Monaghan and 1 for Armagh. For Connacht, Its 5 for Mayo, 2 for Galway, 2 for Roscommon and 1 for Sligo. Fair enough Mayo had 5 in a row but they haven't won the last two and they still are making the last 4 each year. So even though Mayo are clearly one of the big boys - the Connacht championship is competitive and does throw up surprises. Munster is same as ever Kerry 7 and Cork 3. Here there is an issue of Kerry pulling away from Cork and now Tipp and Clare. Cork will rise again though. They did show some signs v Mayo that they can build on…..In ten Delaneys - 9 for Dublin (7 in a row - they didn't even do that in the 70's), 1 for Meath. If Tyrone go on and win another 2-3 more and widen the gap year on year then you would be 100% correct. You are not correct now and I don't think you will be in the future."
At least some teams tried to play and win instead of today. Ulster football a standard not as high as people think
