Sligo manager Paul Taylor believes that travelling to Ruislip for their opening FL4 clash against London is a tricky match for his charges.

The Yeats County have four away games in next year’s league as they did in last year’s campaign with the first being a trip across the Irish Sea.

Sligo failed to win a game in the league in 2019 and suffered relegation to the league’s bottom tier and Taylor is looking for a change in fortunes this time around.

“We have London away in our first game and they are an improving side for the last number of years. They have a super-set up now with the new pitch and all of that so they really are improving every year,” said Taylor.

“It certainly is going to be a huge game for us bearing in mind everyone wants to win their first game. It is difficult when you have to travel and even more difficult when you have to travel to London. We then have Antrim at home which will be another big game.

“Every team in Division 4 is going to be looking at promotion, there is no doubt about that. Every game we play we know is going to be tough. The lads are hoping for a great start and we know it is going to come down to the wire.”
