A documentary looking back on 40 years of The Sunday Game will air on RTÉ this week.

‘Sunday Best: 40 Years of The Sunday Game’ will be shown on RTÉ One on Wednesday at 9.35pm and, if the trailer is anything to go by, is a must-see for all GAA followers.

The programme will feature contributions from pundits Joe Brolly, Pat Spillane and Sean Cavanagh among others and explores how a GAA highlights programme became a national institution since it first aired in 1979.
