O'Connor feeling the nerves

Kerry senior hurling manager Fintan O'Connor

Kerry manager Fintan O’Connor is certainly not taking anything for granted ahead of their NHL 2A clash against London this weekend.

A win for the Kingdom and they are through to the divisional final where they will more than likely meet Westmeath.

However, were the Kingdom to slip up in Ruislip, then that would open the door for Meath and Antrim to stake a claim for a place in the decider.

And O’Connor admitted to the Kerryman that he is both excited and nervous about the trip across the Irish Sea.

“Looking forward to it,” stated O’Connor who must travel without Shane Conway who is on Fitzgibbon Cup duty.

“A little nervous going over there minus Shane and all the IT Tralee lads are playing on Friday against Jordanstown so they won’t be travelling either so we’ll probably be missing all of those, which is a little bit of a worry, but look a lot of the lads put their hands up against Mayo and hopefully we can go over there and get a result.”
