Lewis Capaldi sent a message of congratulations to Offaly senior football champions Ferbane and Naomh Ciaran ladies footballers.
Ferbane bridged a 25-year gap when dethroning Rhode at O’Connor Park last Sunday while Naomh Ciaran qualified for the Leinster Intermediate final thanks to a victory over Shelmaliers of Wexford.
Local woman Grainne Kenny informed the popular Scottish singer about their winning exploits and he was only too happy to pass on his congratulations – although he did struggle to pronounce Naomh Ciaran!
TweetShoutout to @NaomhCiaranLGFA and @ferbanegaa on their wins this weekend from myself and my good pal @LewisCapaldi on our way back to sunny Glasgow 💚 HON THE TOWN pic.twitter.com/yLz4DF8kTA
