Yes a three hour meeting after playing with your club would be quite draining you smart ****

Replying To foxes_denn:  "What I mean is in the first match the county men were poor for both teams. Galligan in FF was good but you could see the other men were wore out.

we should beat Monaghan now as there missing 4 of their best players."
That's down to 3 now with F Kelly red rescinded but as you say that still leaves 3 of our best players out....D Hughes, K Hughes & Niall Kearns...........no wonder you are optimistic !

Kearns had a problem with his heart. More important to get that right then worry about Football.

Darren Hughes would be a loss, but Cavan have had players missing v Monaghan in championship . G McKiernan in 2013 for example..

Replying To foxes_denn:  "Kingscourt have been over the place in first two matches. The first game was like a championship match on the Wednesday and we got away with a one point win. Tinnely was quality as was galligan in FF for lacken.

Then at weekend we should have been beat by 20 points. The county men are wore out."
Don't try to tell us you,re a Kingscourt supporter - you certainly are,nt - and you weren't at the Lacken game if you thought Tinnelly & Galligan were quality - they certainly weren't - although it was a great match only a late point separated the teams - and I don't know what you,re on about the county players - Kingscourt only have Faulkner and he played reasonably well . I think you should concentrate on your own club - Denn from now on.

No, meetings are not to draining you'll find. Sitting on a chair listning is not all bad.
the club game before it may be draining. Not sure what type of meetings you attend? Maybe you jog on the spot during them?

Replying To CR7:  "In the 1st half,at one stage Ramor scored a point and he marked it in his notebook to the Cavan Gaels by mistake,so at half time Ramor were leading 8-6 but the referee had it as 7-7.So by the end of game Cavan Gaels scored a point and the ref then blew full time presuming it was 1-11 to 14 when in fact it was 1-12 to 13 in favour of Ramor.subsequently it was queried by ramor as well as half time and he also consulted with Paul,a neutral who informed him the correct score.Cavan Gaels officials knew the correct score,Ramor officials knew the correct score.my sources say he agreed to video(match was been recorded) been sent to CCC but essentially it all depends what he puts in his report as that's final. Also scoreboard was also out of action which added to confusion, had Ollie spotted the scoreboard after his mistake,he would've rectified it.At the end of the day it was human error and it was only the 1st game of the league but it's still a matter of principle and Ollie would get a lot of respect if he held off his report until video was viewed. On the pitch it was a full blooded game, evenly matched with top players missing on both sides."
Referees error no excuse for this he is paid to do his job and failed to do it. Most half decent referees as their umpires to keep a record as well as him and between them they normally get it right. The score board is only a guide and is not responsible for telling the referee the correct score. Even video evidence is not allowed unless the two clubs agree and even then it's up to the CCC.
The match should have been declared void and a rematch pencilled in.

I am not aggrieved by what went on and you are right I was not at the game as most posters on here like me. I pointed out a few simple facts to people like you in particular who don't understand the rules.

Sean, you had a few simple facts pointed out to you on how Cavan weren't the only team who had "showed their hand" in the league, and you ran for the hills.

So don't get so self-righteous if you can't back up your posts!

I did not run anywhere I replied to your post when I said come back to me in 2020 I think thats fair enough.
Since I last logged on I see your spirits have risen now that Monaghan have lost some of their quality players.
Stick with it. Lol.
You by the way asked me to name teams that will not have shown their hands well that was an easy question and you will see going forward who they are once the championship starts. next month.

That's a blatant lie Sean.

1.) You did not reply to my latest post on that topic, nor did you post anything after my latest post - which was a response to you directly.

2.) I haven't mentioned Monaghan's injuries. They are, in reality, insignificant unless it's Conor McManus who's injured. They can absorb injuries elsewhere.

what has any of this dribble got to do with the ACFL Leagues 2019 which is what the thread is about. Take a leaf out of TomSmith's book and go create a separate page for all yer nonsensical tittle tattle

Indeed. I'll get us back on track.

Having looked at the results so far, been to a few games and heard some updates on teams situations, I would like to revise my predictions:

D1 - Ramor looking strong but I'll stick with the Rahan. Hearing they have lost McSweeney for the year and maybe Ennis too.

Relegation - Sitching out Ballinagh for Laragh, think Laragh's lack of physical size might be their undoing. Them and Cootehill to fall.

D2 - I'll change out Arva for Ballyhaise as Arva look to be in transition a bit. Lavey goin well and they remain the wild card.

Shercock & B'haise to go up, and Killinkere and Swad to go down, changing Swad in for Drumlane as Swad are increasingly looking like a one man band.

D3 - I am still confident Killeshandra will top it. I will change out Kildallan for their West Cavan colleagues Shannon Gaels as they seem to have everyone back for once and Kildallan's previous near misses were generally built on a great start to the campaigns and they haven't got that this year.

Division 1 will be Crosserlough as a kickstarter for winning a championship too. Ramor will be missing O Connell and McEnroe.
