Bernard 'Brian' Harten of Tower Hamlet, Cavan town and late of Bruce, Arva passed away on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017. Bernard was married to Agnes Wilson, sister of well-known footballer and politician John Wilson. He played football with Cornafean prior to emigrating to England in the mid-50s and continued to follow their fortunes after returning home. At his funeral mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Bernard's coffin was draped in a red Cornafean jersey.
