Russell Rovers (Cork) 1-26
Micheál Breathnach (Galway) 1-15
(After extra-time)
Cork's Russell Rovers will face Conahy Shamrocks of Kilkenny in the All-Ireland club JHC final at Croke Park on Saturday week after an extra-time victory over Galway's Micheál Breathnach in Kilmallock.
The final will be part of a double-header with the All-Ireland club IHC decider which is also a Cork-Kilkenny affair between Fr O'Neill's and Tullaroan.
Rovers lived dangerously in this semi-final and needed two late frees from Brian Hartnett - who took over the free-taking duties from the injured Josh Beausang - to force extra-time before taking control in the first period of extra-time with an unanswered 1-6.
Hartnett top-scored with 0-12 for the east Cork side who led by 0-9 to 0-7 at half-time before extending their advantage to 0-15 to 0-9 at the end of the third quarter. But Micheál Breathnach battled back and took the lead through a Ronán Ó Beoláin goal before Hartnett's late brace sent the tie to extra-time.
A goal in the first minute of extra-time from James Kennefick paved the way for what was a comfortable Russell Rovers win in the end.
