Templenoe's Killian Spillane pulls the trigger

Kerry's Templenoe and Clare champions St Breckan's are safety through to the semi-finals of the Munster club IFC.

Tipped by many to go all the way in this championship, Templenoe overcame St Saviour's of Waterford by 5-12 to 2-9 in their own backyard with Brian Crowley netting a hat-trick.

There was only a point in it after 19 minutes after Crowley and Brian Phelan (penalty) had traded early goals, but the hosts hit back with further majors from Teddy Doyle and Stephen O'Sullivan to take a 3-8 to 1-4 lead into the break.

Crowley raised two more green flags after the restart to complete his hat-trick before Jamie Mullally grabbed a late consolation goal for the visitors.Templenoe will be away to Eire Og of Cork in next weekend's semi-final.

In the other quarter-final at the LIT Gaelic Grounds, St Breckan's defeated Limerick's Galtee Gaels 2-13 to 1-11 to advance to a semi-final meeting with Tipperary’s Moycarkey-Borris or Clonmel Og.

The winners led by 1-6 to 0-7 at half-time thanks to Aidan Davidson's 21st minute penalty and extended their advantage to 2-10 to 0-8 when Joe McGann added their second goal 10 minutes after the restart.

Alan Condon pulled a goal back for the Gaels, but the Lisdoonvarna men weren't to be denied.
