Clare manager Colm Collins believes that they need to improve certain areas of their game if they are to trouble Kerry in the Munster SFC semi-final.

The Banner produced a very good performance against Limerick to ease past the Shannonsiders last weekend. However, Collins acknowledges that they need to step up a few levels if they are to compete against the Kingdom.

Speaking to the Clare Champion, Collins admitted that his side seemed to ease up near the end and he stressed that they had to be more clinical on front of goal.

"There are things that we need to look at," said Collins. "We need to get them right if we are to go down and compete against a team like Kerry.

"We seemed to think that we had enough done when they (Limerick) got the goal. They seemed to take their foot off the accelerator a little. But it was a really good second half and we're delighted with some of the scores, especially when we introduced some of the subs. Some of them really well, which was lovely to see."

Collins added his thoughts on travelling to Fitzgerald Stadium to take on Kerry on June 3rd.

"Nice one isn't it," he joked. "A nice day out. If you're playing football, you want to be playing down in Fitzgerald Stadium. We've got a lot of little things to tidy up.

"We conceded a lot of scoreable frees, but hopefully in two weeks time, we'll be prepared for it, and we'll give it our best shot."
