Delighted with their win over Offaly last weekend, Laois manager Eddie Brennan quickly turned his attention to Antrim.

In what was an incredible game that saw 50 scores divided between the sides, Laois came out on top by 4-22 to 3-21.

It was a morale boosting win for the O’Moore County, but Brennan was quick to point out to the Leinster Express that it was only one game.

“It was only the first match won and we have to get the heads kind of clear, reset and go again,” stated the Kilkenny man.

“Antrim had a fine win over Kerry and we’ll be very mindful of that and I think next week we have to be very tuned in, to get a win on the road is massive but it’s at home that we have to be really, really focused on now.”
