'No logic' to Brady tweet, says McGee

Eamonn McGee has dismissed David Brady's tweet about Gaoth Dobhair following their All-Ireland club SFC semi-final defeat to Corofin as illogical.

The tweet, which suggested that the Donegal side's loss had something to do with them posting videos from drinking sessions after their Ulster final win over Scotstown in December, sparked an angry reaction from McGee's Gaoth Dobhair team-mate Kevin Cassidy.

"Shut the f*** up, I'm not even a midfielder and I would still take you to the cleaners you muppet. My club, my people," Cassidy replied.

McGee, who went to see astronomy superstar Professor Brian Cox in Dublin's 3Arena after the loss, weighed into the controversy on Off The Ball AM this morning.

"The universe is finite and we're talking about a tweet for two days. This is day three," the 2012 All-Ireland winning defender said.

"There's no need for it. When Brady sits down and thinks hard about it, he's going to realise that there was no logic to his point at all.

"He doesn't know how hard we've trained, he doesn't know the preparation, the video work we've put in.

"Kevin Cassidy would have been posting multiple videos the time we won the Ulster. He was probably Gaoth Dobhair's best player on Saturday. It didn't affect his performance."
