Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald feels the odds for his side in next year's All-Ireland senior hurling championship are off the mark.

The Slayneysiders have been priced as 25/1 outsiders to lift the Liam McCarthy Cup next August and ranked as fourth favourites behind Galway, Kilkenny and Dublin to win Leinster despite reaching this year's final.

"If I was going by Paddy Power we probably shouldn't turn up at all next year," the Clare man is quoted saying by the Irish Examiner, "we have gone out to fourth favourites in Leinster and we are nearly second last in the All-Ireland.

"It is just funny that we have went out there (in the reckoning). In Leinster, you have Galway, Kilkenny, Dublin and ourselves.

"I think the only one below us for the All-Ireland is Offaly."
