Goals from Nicky Kenny and Brian Fitzgerald proved the difference as Cavan edged out Armagh by 2-13 to 0-16 in Division 3A of the Allianz Hurling League at Kingspan Breffni this afternoon.

Having trailed by 0-13 to 0-5 after 40 minutes, the hosts came roaring back into this contest with two goals in eight minutes that turned the game on its heads.

Fitzgerald’s major on 55 minutes would be backed up by points from Liam O’Brien and Sean Keating that widened the margin out to five and the Orchard men wouldn’t be able to close their deficit in final 10 minutes as Ollie Bellew’s side recorded their second win of the campaign.

In Division 3B, Fermanagh also came from behind in the second-half to see off Lancashire by 1-13 to 1-8 at Brewster Park, where Brian Teehan’s goal was key to a third straight win for the hosts.

In Pearse Park, Longford chalked up their second win of the campaign with a comprehensive 2-15 to 1-7 victory over neighbours Leitrim.

Cathal Mullane netted both goals for the victors as Leitrim saw Martin Feeney red-carded in the run up to half-time.
