Shane Conway bagged 1-9 as Kerry defeated Meath (3-14 to 0-16) in Tralee for their first win in this year’s Allianz Hurling League Division 2A campaign.

Having led by just one at half-time, the Kingdom cut loose after the turnaround and fired in goals via Michael Leane, Conway and Dan Goggin which ensured them the points and served to hand Meath a second loss this month.

In Ballycran, Kildare were denied what would have been their first win thanks to a Pearse Og McCrickard injury-time free that snatched a 1-24 to 1-24 draw for hosts Down.

In a frantic finish, the Mourne men had denied the Lilywhites from the penalty spot with a minute left in normal time prior to two Jack Sheridan frees putting the Leinster men in front and McCrickard having the final say to ensure the points were shared.

In Division 2B, Wicklow and Roscommon also played out a draw (1-15 to 2-12) in Aughrim, while Derry continued their winning ways by defeating London 1-27 to 2-15 at Celtic Park to move three points clear at the top of the table.

The third round results in Division 3A saw Monaghan bagging a first win at Armagh’s expense (0-23 to 0-20) in Clones, while Mayo picked up their third victory by seeing off Cavan on a 2-17 to 1-13 scoreline in Castlebar and Sligo got their second thanks to a 5-19 to 3-17 win against Louth in Dowdallshill.
